Description

Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame is a mystery action film that was made in Hong Kong. Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame takes place during the Chinese Tang Dynasty. In order to mark a special occasion the government decides to erect a massive Buddha statue, but they quickly learn that a mysterious force is killing persons involved with the construction of the statue. This leads to Di Renjie appointing a number of detectives to solve the problems, and he also attempts to resolve the matter on his own. Di Renjie also decides to fight the murders by himself, and this leads to a number of highly stylized fight scenes.
