Description

Hong Kong action director Chang Cheh collaborated with Hung Gar kung fu master choreographer (and future director) Liu Chia liang on a number of films that focused on authentic kung fu techniques and applications, albeit within a legendary and historical context. Shaolin Martial Arts is a tour de force showcase for Tiger and Crane (the most famous of the Hung Gar forms), Wing Chun's Biu Jee finger strikes (which were re-created in Tarrantino's Kill Bill 2), Southern Eagle Claw, external Invisible Armor and energy absorbing chi gung. Look for Hong Kong film veteran Yuan Siu Tin, best known as Jackie Chan's Drunken Master, as the Tiger and Crane teacher for hero Fu Sheng.
